As a soil physicist I am interested in finding the answers to important scientific questions so we may better manage our environment. I am dealing with advanced noninvasive visualization methods of porous formations with the emphasis on preferential flow. My recent activity lies on detecting the effect of soil substrate structural changes on water and heat dynamics in selected anthropogenic soil systems, and evaluating the expected threat to the thermal and runoff mitigation performance of soil system on the beginning of the life cycle.
