Jan Špale is a doctoral student in the field of Energy and Process Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, where he focuses on the development of turbines for systems working with the organic Rankine cycle. In 2021, he graduated with a master's degree in Energy, also at FS CTU. He gained experience with the development of machine components and the design of renewable energy sources during internships abroad, for example in Milan, Leuven or Amberg. Since 2017, Jan Špale has been involved in the development of the biomass micro-cogeneration ORC unit Wave in the LORCA team and the preparation and solution of research projects related to it.
