I am head of research programme Architecture and Interaction of Buildings with the Environment. My role is to coordinate cooperation with national and international industrial and research partners and to prepare and execute research projects. My expertise is in environmental indicators of buildings and life cycle assessment of buildings and products of construction industry. I give lectures on Integrated building design at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. Currently I work at the Envilop project, which produced environmentally friendly envelope for new buildings and renovations made of natural materials. We use the knowledge within H2020 project MORE-CONNECT, which aims on development of massive thermal insulation of residential buildings by prefabricated modules with integrated elements of building services. I participate in research of carbon footprint of buildings within Annex 57 of the International Energy Agency ECBCS programme. At my work I use experience gained from various national and international projects and organizations. I am member of the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment and founding member of its Czech subsidiary Czech Sustainable Building Society. I had chance to help with foundation of the Czech Green Building Council. I am also member of CENDEC and IALCCE. I am in charge of organization of the fourth volume of the international conference Central Europe towards Sustainable Building 2016, which will be held 22-24.6.2016 in Prague.
