Ing. Jan Včelák, Ph.D.
Jan Včelák got his Ph.D. in 2007 on the CTU Faculty of electrical engineering. Since that time he worked between 2007-2012 as postdoc researcher and team leader in Tyndall NI, Ireland. From 2012 he was employed by CTU University Centre of Energy Efficient Buildings, where he established and leaded department for monitoring and intelligent control in period 2015-2019, in 2019 he worked as visiting researcher in InnoRenew CoE, Slovinia focusing on renewable construction material. He is co-founder of two companies and inventor of several patents in EU and US. His background is in Electronic and sensor design for special applications. His tasks at CTU are mainly in coordination of R&D activities and project management. He is a principal investigator of several research projects in the field of IoT sensor design, renewable energy sources and other topics.
