We propose a comprehensive energy solution for building ensembles, aimed at achieving the desired energy standard of the neighbourhood. Our approach includes a cost assessment of multiple variants, covering both investment and operating expenses over a 15-year period.
Our services include:
Definition of performance and energy needs: for a given neighbourhood we model the performance and heat needs based on a limited amount of data (masterplan, map base, architectural study) for a defined energy standard of buildings to determine the boundary conditions of construction (parameters of structures, technical systems, energy sources) and for an initial balance sheet on the performance of heat sources.
Modelling of district energy sources: we model complex systems with conventional and renewable energy sources and with storage capacities within local district heating systems. We optimize the performance and size of equipment and perform related energy balances for different climatic conditions and building energy performance variations. The evaluation of the variations of the proposed power mix of energy sources is complemented by the expression of the framework total costs (investment costs, operating costs over 15 years).
Energy plus neighbourhoods: we evaluate the energy performance of neighbourhoods in terms of different approaches such as positive energy districts (PEDs), zero emission or carbon neutral communities (ZENs) and others. We propose variations of energy sources and their outputs to achieve certain indicator levels.
