We offer dynamic simulations of buildings and their technical systems, which take into account the influence of solar radiation, heat accumulation, specific regulation of technical equipment, load profiles, availability of photovoltaic systems and other factors in more detail than standard calculations. The dynamic building or system model created allows a wide range of analyses to be performed that are valuable to developers, control and technical security of buildings designers, and building certification.

Our services include:
  • Building simulation: For the given technical parameters of the building, we create a simulation model with a specific occupancy profile, lighting and internal gains and perform the calculation for the given climatic conditions. The result is hourly power requirements for heating, cooling, hot water, which allow realistic sizing of the equipment.
  • Analysis of different profiles: Using a building simulation model, we compare the impact of different occupancy profiles, ventilation flows and climatic conditions for future operation. The result is a range of power and energy requirements that provide designers with greater certainty than conventional standard calculations.
  • Translucent elements and shielding: We model the effect of different glazing and shading elements, including simulation of complicated shading elements. The result is an assessment of the impact on energy performance and recommendations for the operation of shading elements.
  • Simulation of the indoor environment: We analyse the frequency of exceedances of the monitored temperatures at different operating load and ventilation profiles. The result is an assessment of the thermal comfort at different installed plant outputs, e.g. the possibility of using thermally activated concrete structures.
  • Advanced energy systems: We simulate complex energy systems consisting of photovoltaics, heat pumps, and hybrid photovoltaic-thermal collectors to realistically assess the savings potential and optimize control strategies for these resources.
