The project is dedicated to the development of an innovative system of a fire extinguishing device that detects and eliminates a fire in its initiation phase. It consists of two basic parts – a network of detection units and a set of directional extinguishing nozzles. Thanks to the ability to evaluate the developing fire early and localize it in space and the ability to specifically direct the extinguishing nozzles directly to the fire outbreak, intervention occurs before the fire fully develops. This approach significantly minimizes the damage caused by the fire and the extinguishing itself and at the same time contributes to sustainable water management and reduction of environmental burden, which is becoming an increasingly important aspect in building design.
