Ing. Jan Pešta, Ph.D.

Jan Pešta graduated in 2018 from the Faculty of Environmental Technology at the University of Chemical Technology in Prague, majoring in waste management. At the same faculty he completed his doctoral studies in the Chemistry and Environmental Technology programme and in 2024 he defended his doctoral thesis on Life Cycle Assessment of Construction Recyclates. He is also a researcher at the CTU UCEEB, where he leads the Circular Construction team, whose mission is to promote the implementation of circular principles. His research focuses on environmental impact assessment and sustainable options for the management of construction and demolition waste.
