The goal of the project is to innovate the pricing and technical regulation by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERU) for district heating systems to increase motivation for investments that boost energy efficiency and significantly reduce emissions. The project will propose a fair heat pricing methodology with an incentive component, based on techno-economic analyses and energy simulations. Applicability will be tested through a participatory approach using sociological surveys and feedback from an advisory panel. Solutions will include impact analyses on consumers and aim to incorporate legislative changes into ERU’s strategic documents, reflecting technical realities and operational practices of district heating in the Czech Republic.
