Jeremiah is respectful of people's privacy

The University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings at the CTU is co-operating with EXPECT-IT to develop a multi-functional, comprehensive platform to protect the health and safety of people inside buildings, as well as the privacy of their occupants and visitors.

As communication and everyday life continue to move into the cyber world, users are concerned about the security of their personal data. The Jeremiah Project addresses the issue of surveillance security systems, which often have a Big Brother reputation and negative connotations associated with privacy violations.

The aim of the project is to develop a multi-functional, comprehensive platform to address indoor health and safety issues. The integrated technologies used are primary infrared sensors and low resolution cameras. They can already detect the position of a falling human figure in the infrared spectrum. The whole project will be completed in 2026.
