The CTU University Centre for Energy-Efficient Buildings is working as part of a new project on the implementation of the latest nanotechnological procedures, developed in basic research in the Czech Republic, into forensic practice in the provision of odor traces.

?

The main goal of the team CTU UCEEB is to increase the efficiency of the capture of odor molecules by a composite nanofibrous layer for use in forensic practice. On the basis of the experience gained during testing, create a technology enabling the industrial production of odor trace collectors and ultra-sensitive specific bio-sensors. In this way, the project should contribute to the further development of knowledge, methods and technologies increasing the effectiveness of documentation and investigation of criminal offenses and security incidents.

The research project Increasing the efficiency of the capture of odor molecules by a composite nanofibrous layer for use in forensic practice was supported by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic from the SECTECH program.
