The project focuses on the energy and economic transformation of the Ústí Region, a coal-mining area. Its goal is to address
the high dependency of the energy sector on fossil fuels and to develop human resources for emerging energy industries. The
main output is a new international research and testing site for renewable energy sources, with a focus on geothermal energy
and alternative resources, as well as their integration into the existing energy system.
UCEEB is participating in the project implementation as a partner with a financial contribution. The project is supported
by the EU - Operational Programme Just Transition 2021 – 2027.
