In cooperation between the University Center for Energy-Efficient Buildings and the Faculty of Information Technologies of the Czech Technical University, an application is being created that will facilitate strategic planning for town halls based on realistic achieved city parameters.
The software tool will bring to Czech municipalities the possibility of a standardized approach to the implementation and evaluation of their own technological progress in the field of Smart Cities in parallel with the evaluation of sustainable development. CTU coordinates the development with the application guarantor, which is the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic. The Czech Council for Sustainable Buildings is in charge of familiarizing selected target groups with the activities and results of the project. After the application is completed in 2021, a so far small group of cities should grow, whose representatives consistently plan and monitor the implementation of smart technologies.
