The CTU University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings succeeded in the international EnerDigit Call 2020 challenge, which is aimed at supporting research in the field of digitization of energy systems and networks. Within its framework, it will be a partner of the DoRES (Deployment of Smart Renewable Energy Communities) project.

The goal of the DoRES project is to support the transition to green energy through the wider adoption of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the digitization of renewable energy sources (RES) systems for better control and redistribution of energy flows within communities of near-zero energy buildings (nZEB). The main stakeholders will be RES experts, developers and consumers. The coordinator of the project, which will run from March 2022 to February 2025, is Riga Technical University, the other partner is Tallinn University of Technology.

The project is supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR) from the Theta program within the Smart Energy Systems Era-NET network, EnerDigit Call 2020.
