The team of the CTU University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings put into permanent operation the SAWER system installed in the Czech National Pavilion at the EXPO 2020 exhibition site. The process of its technical integration and start-up was completed a month before the opening gates of the world exhibition for the public.

SAWER technology is an indispensable part of the Czech exposition, the central theme of which is the extraction of water from the air and its use for the cultivation of dry the desert. Scientists from CTU UCEEB connected the entire system with the technical equipment of the pavilion, which is currently being completed.

The system is already producing water for subsurface irrigation of the garden and the first results from operation show that in summer can deliver more than 800 liters of water per day. In addition, it will preheat water with waste heat according to the needs of the kitchen.

In addition to the SAWER and MAGDA technology, we have another patented device prototype called the "Field Bottle" that obtains water from the desert air and is transferable on the user's body. A field bottle produces up to 2.5 liters of water per day (depends on climatic conditions). We are now working on the further development of this device.
