TechSocialcare: Promoting Technical Standards for Assistive Technology in European Social care services

Registration number: 03C0809
Funding Agency: EU ERDF – Interreg Europe programme
Principal Investigator: Ing. Vít Janovský
Start: 01. 05. 2025
End: 30. 04. 2029

The aim of the TechSocialcare project is to create a legal framework and develop basic functional requirements and standards for ICT tools and assistive technologies in social and health services. At the same time, the aim is to promote these standards at national and European level. The international exchange of experiences and best practices will ensure that the standardisation is in line with the experience of partners from all regions involved.

The ageing population, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and changing social dynamics are leading to an increasing demand for social and health care services. Innovative technical tools have the proven ambition to create more efficient care, thus ensuring quality care for a greater number of clients with the same workload for service staff. A number of independent tools are emerging but are not standardised, making interoperability difficult and expensive and their use minimal.

The project consortium consists of 12 partners, with CTU-UCEEB as the lead partner and responsible for the overall project outcomes. In addition, partners from Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Romania, Ireland, Poland and Greece are included.

The TechSocialcare project is supported by the Interreg Europe programme funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is co-financed by the participants.
