In our solar laboratory SOLAB2 we offer testing of building elements and technical equipment under the influence of solar radiation. An indoor solar simulator with a spectrum close to the Sun allows repeated testing under identical conditions at any time of the year with a total solar irradiance of 2.2 x 1.5 m with a homogeneity of up to 5% and 3.2 x 2.4 m with a homogeneity of up to 15% at a specific radiant power level of 900 to 1200 W/m2.
Our services include:
Testing of solar thermal collectors: Accredited testing of solar thermal collectors and hybrid photovoltaic-thermal (PV-Thermal) collectors is carried out in accordance with ČNS EN ISO 9806 in an indoor environment using artificial solar radiation. We also offer non-accredited testing of prototype solar liquid, air or dual (liquid-air) collectors of specific designs. The output is a test report.
Atypical solar elements: We design, consult and test atypical solar energy elements such as facade heat exchangers, solar walkways and other solar energy devices.
Exposure to solar radiation: We perform accelerated tests of the behaviour of building elements, structures and materials when exposed to solar radiation while measuring temperatures.
Solar transmittance: We determine the solar transmittance of homogeneous materials and complex inhomogeneous (textured) structures as a function of the angle of incidence of solar radiation.
