Development company JRD carried out measurements and evaluation of important microclimate quality parameters in ordinary households using professional devices of the University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings of CTU and the company AMiT. The measured results show that an unhealthy indoor environment is a widespread problem in the country.

Measurement of carbon dioxide concentration (CO2) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) or relative humidity and temperature values was intended to compare the air quality in apartments in old buildings, panel houses, new buildings and in energy-saving projects with an automatic system of controlled ventilation with heat recovery. To make the results as conclusive as possible, the selected buildings differed not only in location, but also in insulation methods and ventilation techniques.
