We organize installation courses for photovoltaics on residential buildings

Efficient production and sharing of own electricity in apartment buildings represent a great opportunity for apartment owners to reduce regular housing costs. The most suitable source of renewable energy is usually a photovoltaic system, which can be combined with a battery. Therefore, UCEEB CTU in cooperation with the Guild of Accumulation and Photovoltaics has prepared a one-day course for the professional public, during which participants will learn about the technical, financial and legal aspects of this issue. 

"The New Green Savings grant programme offers a simple way to cover up to 50 % of investment costs. However, this is still a relatively new model that is in its infancy, and there are therefore very few truly exemplary examples. When we saw the high interest, many uncertainties or circulating half-truths about the use of photovoltaics in residential buildings, we decided to prepare a one-day training on this topic in cooperation with the Guild of Accumulation and Photovoltaics (CAFT). This was a loose continuation of the training for installers and designers of photovoltaic systems that has been running for some time," says Petr Wolf from the UCEEB.

The one-day training course on the installation of PV power plants on residential buildings is aimed at designers, electrical installers, members of the committees of housing associations and professionals interested in this topic. The diverse mix of participants creates a suitable environment for the exchange of experiences and networking between interested parties, technology suppliers and installation companies.

The range of topics is quite extensive. It ranges from the correct electrical design, lightning and surge protection, through recommendations on static assessment to fire safety solutions, also with regard to the forthcoming standard ČSN 73 0847. A separate chapter is devoted to the measurement and distribution of energy between the participants. A lecture by Doucha Šikola advokáti, s.r.o. is also included, in which the legislative and legal aspects of electricity sharing are discussed. In the final discussion, participants can ask specific questions.
