The main goal of the project is to develop advanced procedures for the design and production of some types of joints of steel and steel-concrete structures, which will increase the safety and economic attractiveness of these types of structures.

Subgoals:

  • Derive a refined analytical relationship for calculating the effective width of a concrete slab in compression at the internal joint of a reinforced concrete frame
  • Create an analytical model to verify the bearing capacity of the pressed butt plate in the stiffener connection
  • Determine a technological procedure for welding cold-formed elements from high-strength steels
  • Determine a technological procedure for welding stainless steel elements with an emphasis on the resulting mechanical properties of the joint
  • Increase the competitiveness of Czech designers
  • Increase the proportion of young scientists in science
