We offer comprehensive services in the field of assessment of mechanical and building physical properties of natural building materials, determination of their environmental characteristics, etc. At the same time, we can suggest ways of using natural building materials and their combinations with conventional building materials within the overall building concept in order to minimize the carbon footprint. Last but not least, we can evaluate the positive impact of natural materials on the indoor environment of the building in terms of thermal and humidity parameters of the indoor environment, etc. We also deal with the social aspects of natural materials in the context of sustainable construction.
Our services include: Processing of analyses
Analyses for natural silicate-based building materials (unfired clay structures - unfired bricks, rammed earth, clay plasters, etc.).
Analyses for natural building materials based on natural renewable materials of plant origin and their products (straw, hemp, reed, rubber, bamboo, etc.).
Determination of the environmental impact of building and construction products and materials. The output is an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in accordance with ČNS EN 15804+A1 and A2. The results of the analysis can also be used to optimise production processes (e.g. energy and water consumption, waste production, impact on climate change, eutrophication, etc.). We offer complex and simplified analysis, comparison and optimization of building materials, products, structures, buildings and other constructions based on access to international LCA databases.
Tests
Determination of mechanical properties of materials used for load-bearing structures, durability and resistance to water and moisture, fire resistance, etc.
For materials for infill structures and layers for thermal insulation, acoustic, storage, etc. we offer determination of building physical quantities in the field of thermal engineering, acoustics, etc.
Consultancy
Advice on the use of all types of natural building materials in building structures, including experimental verification of mechanical-physical structures up to full-scale samples or sample experimental structures.
