The main goal of the project is to create a certified methodology for Czech municipalities that will propose concrete and realistic measures for the long-term improvement of the quality of public spaces. The methodology will be based on the study of the relationship between the attractiveness of the open space and the quality of life in the village and will combine the methods of urban planning, sociology and social psychology. The methodology will describe how the functions of the space affect the fulfillment of the needs of the inhabitants and which technological elements will increase the quality of life. The methodology will enable municipalities to (1) effectively use the role of modern technologies in the analysis of needs and space planning, (2) to understand the relationship between technology and public space, (3) the methodology will take into account the specifics of settlements in the vicinity of the metropolis and the influence of demographic changes in the structure of the population. Project outputs will be created within 3 years from the start of the project.
