Ing. Bohdan Víra, CSc.

Bohdan Víra, after graduating from the civil engineering school, began his studies at BUT, graduating from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1971, from where he joined Ingstav Brno. From there he moved as a designer to the Ostrava Metallurgical Project, where he worked for 3 years, from there he went to the Water Management Research Institute in Prague. In 1975, he joined IPS, later Skanska. He worked here for more than 36 years in the position of head of the technical development and investment department and technical director of the company. In his work, he devoted himself to innovative technologies and new materials with practical application and conceptual work with a vision. He is the author of several patents and industrial designs that have been implemented. In 1994, he completed his doctoral studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Since 2013, he has been working at the CTU UCEEB, where he tries to connect the results of the science of researchers' knowledge into practical use.
