In 1996, Bořivoj Šourek graduated from the Department of Thermal and Hydraulic Machines at the University of Transport in Žilina. He subsequently joined the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague as an assistant. In the years 2011 - 2013, he worked at Siemens in the energy savings department. At the same time, in 2013, he received the Ph.D. degree at CTU. Since 2014, he has been employed at UCEEB as the head of the Solar Laboratory and since 2020 as the head of the Renewable Energy Research Team.
