Jiří Nováček graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, majoring in Civil Engineering and Construction. In 2009, he received his doctorate at the same faculty. Between 2002 and 2009, he worked as a specialist in building physics, mainly at DEKTRADE. Since 2007, he has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he mainly teaches building acoustics. Since 2013, he has been a scientific and research worker at the UCEEB centre of the Czech Technical University. He is a member of the standardization committee TNK8 – Acoustics.
