Ing. Marek Petreje

Marek Petreje graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2021 with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. Within the master study, he did an Erasmus internship at the University of Southern Denmark and gained valuable work experience in the private sector in Czech Republic. Since 2021, he has been a student of the PhD programme in Water Management and Water Structures at the Department of Landscape Water Conservation of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU. In recent years, he has been focusing on research activities in the field of blue-green urban infrastructure, irrigation systems including grey water reuse, and nature-based solutions for wastewater treatment in constructed wetlands, with an overlap into design practice. He is intensively involved in applied research in the field of material recycling within green roof substrates.
