Martin Volf graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague with a bachelor's degree in Building Construction with a focus on wooden structures and a master's degree in Buildings and the Environment with a focus on the construction of building structures. He completed the last year of his master's studies and his thesis at the University of Stavanger, Norway. In 2017, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Environmentally effective building envelopes". At the same time, he worked in several architectural studios and specialized design offices (EVEX, Petlach TZB, homostudio). Since 2013, he has been working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Prague in the field of integrated building design. He continues to focus on the topic of environmentally efficient buildings in international and national research projects. He takes care of the development of the SBToolCZ methodology.
