Miroslav Urban graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2003. In 2008, he defended his dissertation on the topic of Energy efficiency in buildings in the Czech Republic. Since 2003, he has worked in a design office as an independent designer. In the years 2004 – 2008, he was an employee of the Ministry for Regional Development. Since 2007, he has been an employee at the Department of Technical Building Equipment, where he participates in the general teaching of subjects focused on energy systems of buildings, supervises bachelor's and diploma theses, and participates in educating the professional public in the field of energy performance of buildings. Since 2013, he has been working at UCEEB, where he participates in scientific projects, leads and carries out contractual research orders focused on the energy efficiency of buildings and the indoor environment.
