Ing. Tomáš Vlach, Ph.D.

Tomáš Vlach is a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of Architectural Engineering, where he completed his doctoral studies in the Civil Engineering program under the supervision of Professor Petr Hájek. He is an assistant professor at the same department, teaching especially complex subjects, such as Civil Engineering, Project on bachelor's and master's degree programs. He completed an internship at RWTH Aachen under the guidance of university professor Josef Hegger. In the team of the composite materials laboratory, he mainly deals with new applications of non-metallic reinforcements in concrete and other elements, as well as the search for new more effective combinations of materials and the development of sandwich structures for applications in the construction industry.
