Nicol Staňková studied media studies and sociology at the Masaryk University in Brno and then sociology at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. She has been working at the CTU UCEEB since autumn 2019, until now she has focused on rainwater management in urbanized landscapes and the introduction of Smart City principles to Czech cities. He is currently collaborating on the creation of a methodology to make it easier for cities and municipalities to build elements of blue-green infrastructure. She would like to continue to devote herself to the effective management of cities and their planning and the design of public space and buildings, all with the use of participatory design. Previously, as a research analyst with a focus on quantitative research, she worked on the topic of informal care at the Further Education Fund under the Ministry of Education and Culture.
