We offer short-term and long-term laboratory measurements of the thermal properties of building products and structures on full-scale samples. Our services provide accurate and reliable results to help you optimize your designs and ensure the high quality of your building products.

Our services include:
Measurements in the climate chamber
  • Heat transfer coefficient: We measure the heat transfer coefficient to accurately determine the thermal insulation properties of structures and products.
  • Temperature distribution and heat flux density: Using an infrared camera and precision sensors, we monitor the surface and internal temperatures and heat flux density of structures, which helps in the analysis of thermal bridges, overall efficiency of structures and allows detailed analysis of their thermal behaviour both in steady state and under variable boundary conditions.
  • Moisture distribution: We measure the relative humidity inside structures under controlled conditions, which together with temperature data allows us to assess their moisture safety, which is essential to ensure long-term durability - especially when sensitive wood-based and other natural materials are present.
  • Measurement of air permeability: We test the air permeability of building materials, products and structures. We use specialised equipment for small-size samples and a large climatic double chamber for full-scale samples, which enables complex tests including the measurement of the effect of air permeability on the temperature and moisture distribution in the sample.
Measurement of thermal-moisture behaviour 
  • Test field: We carry out long-term measurements of the thermal and moisture behaviour of building products and structures in the test fields of the western façade, where indoor conditions (temperature, humidity) and natural outdoor conditions (temperature, humidity, sun, rain) are controlled.
  • Key material properties: We use standardized laboratory methods to measure key properties of building materials such as thermal conductivity, diffusion resistance factor, capillary absorption and sorption curves.
  • Interpretation of results: We provide detailed interpretation of measurement results to help you understand and optimize the thermal performance of your materials and structures.
