Barbora Rybová studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University in Prague. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2015 and her Master's degree in Botany with a focus on geobotany in 2018. During her studies, she participated in various projects related to the plant ecology and ecophysiology and worked as a guide in the Troja Botanical Garden. In January 2020, she joined the UCEEB Urban ecohydrology research team, where she studies green roofs and other nature based solutions.
