Establishing a new international cooperation with the Technical University of Munich

News, 20/12/2021

Thanks to the international RESINDUSTRY project, the CTU University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings established cooperation with the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which takes place within the EuroTeQ program, in which ten universities across Europe participate.

Together with TUM, CTU UCEEB participates in a learning module for students on the topic: Renewables and Energy Flexibility in Production, which should be completed at the end of April 2022 and should go into practice in July of the same year as online learning material for students of the Technical University of Munich .

The goal of the created teaching module is to put the module into practice not only on German university grounds, but the vision and goal of this project is to apply the module to the teaching of other European universities, including CTU.

The initial ideas for the creation of the teaching module came from an international workshop that took place in Prague on November 18 to 19, 2021, with the participation of representatives of the Sustainable Construction Department of TUM, Mrs. Julie Schulz and Magdalena Paul. From the Czech side, Štěpánka Holečková and Michal Tobiáš participated for projects RESINDUSTRY and Inter-Inform implemented within the CTU UCEEB.

On the first day, the meeting was held at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The following day, the workshop took place at the headquarters of the Czech Technical University UCEEB in Buštěhrad. TUM representatives got acquainted with its research and products, which were presented to them both in presentations and from a practical point of view during a guided tour of the UCEEB laboratories.

Thanks programu EuroTeQ managed to connect CTU UCEEB with TUM and thus establish cooperation for future joint international projects.

The international two-day workshop was supported by the Inter-Inform EEB-CZ project financed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
