Levitee concrete benches begin to be used in Prague streets

The University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings of CTU has developed a design set of concrete urban furniture with the possibility of installing intelligent technologies. Residents and visitors of the capital can already try the new product in test mode in several public places.

They went to the streets of the metropolis as part of the project Technologický transfer pro chytrou Prahu (supported by the Operational Program Prague Pole of Growth) installed three benches with intelligent technologies. Two of them are part of development projects of the JRD company with the names Zelená Libuš and Ecocity Malešice III. The third piece was placed near vstupu do sportovního areálu Pražačka along with other accessories of a similar appearance from the Levitee furniture set.

The "Levitee" bench can provide its users with additional services beyond comfortable rest. Depending on the level of equipment with intelligent technologies, it can charge phones via a USB connector, connect the user's mobile device to Wi-Fi for free for a short time, or even measure air quality using various sensors supplied according to the end customer's wishes, so it fits perfectly into the concept ?. Demonstration samples offer all functionalities. In addition, after registration, they allow the installation of trauma points in well-visible and well-lit places.
