Sixty representatives of European cities came to Prague for the CrAFt Cities kick-off

University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings CTU in Prague, in cooperation with the Operator ICT, a Prague city company, organised an international conference and training seminar for 60 representatives of cities, universities and organisations involved in the CrAFt and NEB STAR projects funded by the European Union. The meeting, organised as part of the Festival of Creative Bureaucracy, was focused on mutual learning, inspiration and the search for collaborative opportunities towards climate neutrality, aesthetic environments and open decision-making in cities.

The first part of the meeting took place on 8th November 2022 at the Prague Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP), where the cities that were selected for the pilot activities of NEB STAR project introduced themselves. The programme also included presentations with data and its use in decision-making and improving the quality of life in cities. You can watch a recording of the first day here or read a summary. In the evening, an informal reception was held at the residence of the Mayor of Prague.

The second part was focused on mutual learning and inspiration among cities and it took place on 9th November 2022 at the Rector's Office of the CTU. It was attended by 60 representatives of cities, universities and organisations. More than 60 participants from 25 European countries joined online. The meeting brought new contacts, ideas and joint plans for the future.
