The goal of the project is to design, produce and test components of a platform for remote reading of water meters using IoT wireless networks. The target group using the platform are companies operating and managing the water distribution network. The platform can also be used for monitoring water consumption on campus or in larger building complexes. Currently, remote readings are mainly used for electricity meters. The expansion of remote readings for water meters has not yet taken place mainly due to price, investment and operational barriers.
