prof. Ing. Jan Tywoniak, CSc.

Jan Tywoniak graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the CTU in Prague in 1981, majoring in civil engineering. In 2006, he was appointed professor in the field of theory of building structures and materials. It focuses on construction thermal technology and construction-energy concepts of buildings. He has been associated with the university centre UCEEB since its preparation and creation, where he runs the building thermal engineering laboratory. Among other things strives to contribute to the development and implementation of new building envelope elements using building-physical knowledge and principles of sustainable development.
