The project ensures the sustainability of the constructed University Centre of CTU energy efficient buildings. It aims to continue a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to sustainable construction by combining knowledge from civil engineering, energy, electrical engineering and biomedicine. As part of the project, the infrastructure of the Centre built with the support of OP R&D will be used to obtain new knowledge in the field of sustainable construction, physics of building structures, construction materials, technical equipment of buildings, intelligent automation, but also in the field of aging population or ensuring a healthy indoor environment.

The project will also continue intensive regional and international cooperation. Students of all levels of study will be supported in the implementation of their student work, researchers in the implementation of research projects, and the operation of the centre will be ensured so that it is fully self-sufficient after 2020, has a built-up full-fledged international reputation and successfully relies on new international and national grants. At the same time, part of the activities will be dedicated to establishing and maintaining cooperation with the private sector, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
