The University Centre for Energy-Efficient Buildings of the Czech Technical University, as part of the CONAI project, is dedicated to the issue of the use of digitization and artificial intelligence in the field of construction.

Výzkumný projekt CONAI takes place within the framework of Národního centra kompetence CAMEB (Centre for Advanced Materials and Efficient Buildings), which was created in 2019 by the cooperation of Czech Technical University in Prague, BUT in Brno and another twenty-eight partners - universities and especially private companies.

One of its outputs will be a document that focuses on the presentation of the main challenges leading to the transformation of the construction industry and emphasizes above all the possibilities of using digitization and artificial intelligence.

Its authors describe the potential and possibilities of using digitization and artificial intelligence in the value chain in the construction industry, especially in the areas of production of building materials, planning and design of buildings, the construction process and its management, and in building management. Among other things, the document deals with the impact of digitization on the roles and connections of stakeholders in the construction industry, focusing on new potential challenges for existing and new actors in the value chain, including factors accelerating the implementation of digitization and artificial intelligence in the construction industry.

The document should be available to the general public in early 2021.
