Licia Felicioni graduated from the Department of Architecture at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2019, obtaining her license as a recognized architect in Italy in the same year. In 2024, she successfully defended her PhD in Building Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic) and within the FRONTIERS program at the University of Bologna (Italy), as part of a double-degree arrangement. Her doctoral research focused on balancing sustainability and resilience in building design, culminating in the development of a Resilience Module integrated into SBToolCZ, the Czech Republic’s national sustainability assessment system, used as a demo tool – the Module could be ideally integrated into any other rating system.

Since 2019, she has been a researcher at the CTU University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings and CTU Faculty of Civil Engineering [2020-2023], contributing to numerous international projects. Her work includes the life cycle assessment of buildings and components (e.g., INDICATE, ARV, RadoNorm), advancing sustainability and resilience at both building and neighbourhood scales, and the application of nature-based solutions in buildings and urban areas (e.g., NBSINFRA, SuPeRBE). She has held the LEED Green Associate credential since 2020 and actively engages in the development and application of building rating systems.
